Direct Primary Care is a modern alternative to the traditional, insurance-heavy healthcare system. Instead of billing insurance companies for every phone call, question, or quick visit, you pay a simple, transparent monthly membership fee directly to your doctor. In return, you receive highly personalized care, unhurried visits, same-day or next-day appointments, and direct communication with Dr. McCardle.
We care for patients of all ages and walks of life. Our services span from pediatrics through geriatrics. We provide continuous care for your entire family.
No. DPC is not health insurance. You still need insurance or a health-share plan to cover major emergencies, surgeries, hospital stays, and specialist care. Think of DPC as routine car maintenance and insurance as auto collision coverage.
Your membership covers many standard procedures and point-of-care testing at no extra clinical cost:
In-Office Testing: Urinalysis, rapid strep, rapid flu tests, and EKGs. Think common issues that come up more routinely for you and your family.
Clinical Procedures: Simple abscess incision and drainage (I&D), cyst removals, suturing, skin biopsies, and joint injections, among others that help us uncover if we need to go deeper.
Chronic Disease Management: Intensive management of complex chronic diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Kidney Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and COPD/Asthma.
Wellness Care:
Traditional doctors care for thousands of patients, leading to long waits and rushed visits. We strictly limit our patient list. This ensures you get same-day or next-day appointments, unhurried visits, and direct communication with your physician.
To protect our patient-doctor relationship and stay focused on our primary care mission, we do not offer:
Chronic Pain Management: We do not prescribe or manage long-term chronic opioid/narcotic therapies.
Addiction Medicine: We do not provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as Suboxone or methadone.
Obstetrics: We do not provide prenatal or pregnancy care.
Complex Psychiatric Care: While we manage general depression and anxiety, we refer complex psychiatric conditions to trusted local specialists.

Prescription drugs through Medicare Part D.
X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory blood work that Dr. McCardle orders for you.
